Admission Criteria

Local Students

3 GCE ‘O’ level passes including English, OR;

-

Higher Nitec in relevant industry or equivalent OR

-

Minimum 5 years of work experience, out of which 2 years should be at supervisory level; OR

Candidates with other qualifications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis

International Students

Completed Year 12 or official completion of high school in country of origin; OR

IB Diploma; OR

-

Pre-University Qualifications; OR

-

Other private or foreign qualifications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis

And

English Requirements

GCE 'O' Level English (minimum C6 grade) OR

Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 5 (Average of Reading, Listening, Speaking & Writing Scores) OR

IELTS 5 or equivalent (applicable for International students) OR

Successfully pass TVI English Admission Test

The Workforce Skills Qualification Professional Diploma in Leadership & People Management is awarded by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG)

Method of assessment

Each level may be assessed by any combination of written assessment, projects, and oral interviews.

Programme structure - 8 Modules

Module 1: Manage Self

Go for your self-improvement; take the opportunity to build on your leadership style and strengths while using the communication model to better understand the impact of communication.

Module 2: Lead Team
+

How do we navigate between leaders, organisational strategy and corporate governance policies? Learn how they’re all interconnected in this module so you can provide direction and guidance to team leaders.

Module 3: Cultivate Workplace Relationship
+

There’s nothing quite like effective communication to build a productive workplace relationship. You can develop a strong network for a globally diverse team base and meaningful relationships.

Module 4: Manage Achievement of Results
+

Managers don’t just manage teams. Learn effective communication strategies for you and your team plan to work out smoothly. In this module, craft a strong team plan and communication strategy to achieve better results.

Module 5: Enable People

What affects your team’s performance? It may be your organisational strategies and business plans. Engage and connect to find out. This module imparts knowledge you need to assess your team members’ current capabilities to better craft developmental plans for them.

Module 6: Manage Change

We all want to achieve innovation in the workplace. But to get there, we first need to know how to identify and facilitate innovation. Learn the strategies to overcome the failure of change initiatives. Bring your innovation to success.

Module 7: Develop Personal Effectiveness at Managerial Level (16 hours)

Apply your knowledge and life skills to your career and achieve organisational goals. Manage your stress and personal finances to boost your effectiveness in the workplace. Key takeaways include better use of your personal experiences to increase your effectiveness at work.

Module 8: Develop Professional Image and Competence to Achieve Personal Career Goals (16 hours)

Use a diverse range of traditional and new media tools to develop your personal branding and professional image. Learn to network, engage and gain exposure while conducting market research and presentations that take you one step closer to your personal career goals.

Fees and Subsidies

  • Subsidy is subject to student’s eligibility, pending final notification from SkillsFuture Singapore

  • Students receiving subsidy are responsible to fulfil attendance and examination requirements

  • TVI reserves the right to bill the student the full course fee should student fail to be eligible for subsidy

  • A non-refundable administration fee of $53.50 (Local Students) / $214.00 (International Students) applies

  • All prices include 7% GST

  • Eligible to use SkillsFuture credits to offset course fees
